personal growth counselling processing emotions anxiety adhd autism

Throughout my working life, I've had experience creating supportive relationships to empower people to get through difficult times and change their lives for the better. Firstly as a support worker with older adults, then as an advisor helping people access legal aid to protect them from domestic abuse and homelessness.

I then retrained as a counsellor, continuing to put these communication and relational skills into practice and have helped people who have been struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, as well as building healthier relationships after domestic abuse and the impact of childhood and developmental trauma.

I also have lived and professional experience of supporting adults who identify as neurodivergent, whether due to autism, ADHD or complex trauma and whether or not they have been formally diagnosed.

I endeavour to provide a compassionate, safe and supportive counselling relationship for you to explore the issues that are important to you, at a pace that feels right for you. I currently provide face-to-face sessions in a warm, comfortable counselling room in Weston on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or online sessions on Thursdays.

I am experienced with longer term counselling and I endeavour to accommodate returning clients who want to work on new challenges.
